Meet Alix Earle’s Latest Foster Dog, ‘True’

Influencer and Miami local Alix Earle is no stranger to using her platform for good—especially when it comes to helping shelter dogs. Her latest foster? A 7-year-old American Bulldog mix named True, whose brown brindle coat and gentle eyes tell a story of resilience and hope.

True has spent over six months at Miami-Dade Animal Services after arriving in October 2024. Despite his loving nature, he’s been repeatedly overlooked in a crowded shelter system that struggles to find homes for older dogs. While younger pups often get adopted quickly, senior dogs like True wait... and wait.

Thanks to Alix, True recently got a much-needed break from the stressful kennel environment. He's currently enjoying life in a foster home—experiencing soft beds, daily cuddles, and a calm space where he can finally let his personality shine. And while this foster break is temporary, Alix is doing everything she can to help find True a permanent home.

In a heartfelt post, Alix encouraged her followers to consider adopting him:

“If you fell in love with True just like us and you're ready to be his forever family, please email asdfoster@miamidade.gov!!”

Who Is True?

  • Name: True

  • Breed: American Bulldog mix

  • Age: Approximately 7 years old

  • Personality: Affectionate, calm, soulful

  • Current Status: Neutered, in foster care temporarily

  • Shelter: Miami-Dade Animal Services

  • Kennel ID: A2009205

True’s story is a common one—older dogs are often passed over simply because of their age. But True still has so much love left to give. He enjoys quiet companionship, gentle walks, and would thrive in a low-stress home with someone who sees past the gray hairs and into his heart.

As True himself "says" in his shelter profile:

“Maybe we can take things slow. We could go on a doggy date and embark on a little ‘pawventure’ together. Perhaps I’m the companion you’ve been searching for all along.”
