Canine Rescue Club’s Lifesaving Impact on LA Dogs & The Community

In Los Angeles, Canine Rescue Club is making a significant difference in the lives of dogs in need and the recovering LA community. From offering emergency relief during wildfires to organizing large-scale foster programs, this rescue organization is committed to saving lives and giving LA’s pets a second chance.

When the Pacific Palisades Fire and other wildfires broke out, many pets were left vulnerable and in need of urgent care. Canine Rescue Club quickly mobilized to provide immediate support, ensuring that displaced dogs received the shelter, care, and attention they needed during this challenging time.

Immediate Response

As the wildfires spread, the Canine Rescue Club acted quickly to establish an emergency relief fund. The funds raised are being used to address the most urgent needs of affected dogs, including:

  • Emergency Shelter and Safety: Providing temporary housing and safe transport for displaced dogs.

  • Medical Care: Covering the costs of veterinary treatment, medications, and vaccinations for injured or at-risk dogs.

  • Food and Essentials: Supplying nutritious food, clean water, and comfort items like bedding to dogs in temporary shelters.

  • Behavioral and Adoption Support: Once dogs are safe, they receive behavioral support to help them adjust and get ready for their forever homes.

The Canine Rescue Club’s ability to quickly respond to the wildfire crisis has been critical in ensuring that affected dogs have a safe place to stay while their families are displaced or in need of support.

Fostering to Help Dogs Get to Safety

In addition to providing immediate relief, Canine Rescue Club has been working with local shelters to create more space for displaced dogs. They posted on social media they desperately needed temporary foster homes to house 200+ dogs for 1 to 6 weeks during the crisis.

By fostering a dog, you help open up space in overcrowded shelters and ensure more dogs can be rescued and given the care they need.

With the support of the community, Paws for Life and DOG PPL - the wildfire response efforts have shown just how strong the LA community is when it comes to helping animals in need.

In just a short amount of time, the Canine Rescue Club, along with its partners and volunteers, was able to find foster homes for the 200+ dogs. This success has made a big difference in freeing up space in local shelters and allowing Canine Rescue Club to continue rescuing dogs and providing the necessary care.
